I had wanted to make an AfterEffects animation for my CommLab final project, but then I didn’t get around to playing with the program until the eleventh hour. The result is definitely not what I had in mind. (What I wanted to do was more like de Vicq de Cumptich’s Bembo’s Zoo animations.)
I love it! When the characters all started resolving into something that I recognized (around 0:20) I got a big ol’ grin on my face. Thank you!
Aw, thanks! I need to fix the part where the snow falls up, though. Also, the pacing is wonky. And there were supposed to be four seasons. . . .
Meh.
AfterEffects is fun, and I really did mean to spend more than two hours on this assignment. But I had to spend most of that afternoon doing my sweatshop seamstress impersonation, instead.
It’s adorable! I really like it. I understand that it’s not what you dream of it being or becoming, but it’s totally charming already.
