Olafur Eliasson’s Waterfalls

I didn’t go see the waterfalls again, because I’ve observed them many times over the course of the summer: at least eight times when taking the water taxi back and forth between Wall Street and Red Hook, once at the ferry terminal on Governor’s Island, once sitting on the East River Greenway just above South Street Seaport at dusk, and once taking a taxi over the Manhattan Bridge at night.

My Review

Waterfall under the bridge

They look sad in the daytime and are downright ugly when it’s windy (the water blows to the side, revealing all the prosaic scaffolding).

Gets spray all over you while you’re waiting to board the ferry. Pretty at night.
